Throw your arms around the world … (globalgirl Advent Adventure, day 20)

Apparently there’s more to my wish than those profound words on a window decal. This year, Starbucks and the RED campaign have come up with a new project to fight AIDS in Africa.

On Monday, Dec. 7 at 8:30am EST, Starbucks will unite musicians from around the world to sing “All We Need Is Love,” all at the same time, inspired by the Playing for Change phenomenon. For every voice added to the Starbucks Love Project Global Sing Along, the company will donate US 5c to the Global Fund to help fight AIDS in Africa, up to one million submissions. The single global concert marks the coffee company’s one year anniversary as a partner in the RED campaign.
